Leopard cub killed by speeding vehicle

A six-month-old leopard cub died after it was hit by a vehicle near here, forest officials said Tuesday

The incident occurred on Monday when the cub and its mother were crossing Thimbam road near the Bannariamman temple within the Sathyamangalam Tiger Reserve

The carcass was later buried, officials said.
