29-year old man dies as tree falls on him

A 29-year old college professordied Tuesday after a tree fell on him when he took shelterunder it to escape rain accompanied by gale at a village inthe district, police said

Govindan of Perumthalaiyur village along with his friendwas proceeding to nearby Kavindapady on a two-wheeler when theincident occurred Monday night

He suffered bleeding head injuries and was rushed to aprivate hospital in Bhavani where he died without respondingto treatment Tuesday, police added.
