155 players picked for T20 Mumbai League by 8 franchise

Eight franchises have picked 155 players for the second edition of the T20 Mumbai League, the auction for which was held here on Saturday. The league is to be held from May 14-26th at the Wankhede stadium, a media release said.
From a total budget of Rs 2.8 crores, the 8 teams Mumbai North East Triumph Knights, Shivaji Park Lions, ARCS Andheri, North Mumbai Panthers, NaMo Bandra Blasters, SoBo Supersonics, along with the newly inducted teams, Eagle Thane Strikers (Mumbai Eastern Suburbs) and Aakash TigersMumbai Western Suburbs collectively spent Rs 2.73 crores, it added. Before the Player Auction, the six continuing teams of season 1, retained 11 players.
The total number of senior players sold were 41 while the total number of emerging and developmental players who were sold were 114, the release said.
