3-year old girl found dead in roadside bush

A three-year-old girl was found dead with injuries all over her body and head early Monday, police said. Passersby noticed the body lying in a roadside bush and informed the police.

Three special police teams have been formed to trace the perpetrators of the crime. Investigations have begun to find out whether it was a case of murder or a hit-and-run incident, even as the girl's mother has been detained for questioning, the police said.

The body has been sent to the government hospital for an autopsy.
