Man strangled to death

A man was strangled to death at Makanpur village here, police said Wednesday. The incident took place at a milk godown Tuesday night, they said.

Police found Jadeep, aka Sonu Bhadana, a native of Meerut, dead with hands tied with a rope and mouth with a scarf. He was strangled to death by a towel, police said.

Prima facie it seems that some known person killed Sonu after consuming liquor with him, said Indira Puram Circle Officer Aparna Gautam. Police have recovered a bottle of whisky, glasses and snacks from the spot.

Sonu worked as a an accountant with a milk distributor.
