Crime briefs from Delhi

A 28-year-old man wanted in a case of attempt to murder was arrested from outer Delhi, police said Tuesday. The accused was identified as Inderjeet Singh, a resident of Bhalaswa Dairy. A pistol and a live cartridge was recovered from him.

In 2015, Singh along with his friend had attacked a man with a sword after the victim allegedly misbehaved with his father. Singh was also involved in three other cases, police said. PTI AMP

New Delhi, Jul 9 (PTI) An 18-year-old youth was arrested from Delhi's outer-north district for carrying an illegal firearm, officials said Tuesday.

The accused, Himanshu is a resident of Mukundpur village. He was nabbed on Monday by the patrolling team of Bhalswa Dairy police station. A country made pistol along with two live cartridges were recovered from him, police said. PTI AMP

New Delhi, Jul 9 (PTI) A man was arrested for allegedly stealing mobile phones from south Delhi, police said Tuesday. The accused was identified as Ramesh and was nabbed on Monday from Andrews Ganj bus stand, they said.

Four stolen mobile phones were recovered from him, police said. Ramesh was earlier arrested in a theft case. PTI AMP

New Delhi, Jul 9 (PTI) A 22-year-old auto-lifter was arrested from south Delhi's Kotla Mubarakpur area, police said Tuesday.

The accused has been identified as Matin Ashraf, a resident of Jamia Nagar. One knife and two stolen motorcycles were recovered from him.
