Govt exceeds disinvestment target for current fiscal, proceeds touch Rs 85,000 crore, Finance Minister Arun Jaitley said. The government's disinvestment proceeds had touched Rs 53,558 crore till February 17 after collection of Rs 10,000 crore from Bharat-22 ETF and, another Rs 5,379 crore from the sale of Specified Undertaking of Unit Trust of India (SUUTI) stake in Axis Bank.

The government has fixed disinvestment target of Rs 80,000 crore for the current fiscal ending March. For the next fiscal, the target has been set at Rs 90,000 crore.
