Large explosion rocks Kabul, 95 people injured; Taliban claims responsibility

A large explosion rocked Kabul on Wednesday morning, sending a massive plume of smoke over the capital and shattering shop windows far from the blast site, officials and witnesses said. According to the Ministry of Public Health, At least 95 people were wounded in the blast in Kabul's PD6 on Wednesday morning.
The blast occurred around 9:00 am (local time) in western Kabul, interior ministry spokesman Nasrat Rahimi said.
Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast, in the west of the city during the morning rush hour, which sent a cloud of grey smoke billowing into the sky.

The bomb went off when a vehicle was stopped at a checkpoint outside the station, said interior ministry spokesman Nasrat Rahimi.
