Gram, its dal weaken on low demand

Barring a fall in gram and its dal prices on the back of muted demand from local dal mills, other pulses held steady at the wholesale pulses market today.

Traders said fall in demand from dal mills against adequate stocks position on increased arrivals from producing belts mainly led to decline in gram and its dal prices.

In the national capital, gram slipped to Rs 4,150-4,300 from the previous level of Rs 4,300-4,350 per quintal. Its dal local and best quality also traded lower by Rs 100 each to Rs 4,400-4,800 and Rs 4,800-4,900 per quintal, respectively.
