J&K: Police arrests two men of possessing intoxicant drugs

Two men were arrested in separate incidents in Jammu and Kashmir's Samba and Rajouri districts after intoxicant drugs were found in their possession, police said Thursday.
A police patrol party intercepted a person on the highway at Vijaypur and upon inspection, found 445 intoxicant capsules (Parvon Spas Plus) on him, they said.
The accused, Karan Singh, alias Nanak of Gagore (Vijaypur), was arrested on the spot and the contraband seized, officials said.
A case was registered in this regard at the Vijaypur police station and an investigation launched, they added.
Another person was arrested in the Kheora area of Rajouri after 110 bottles of intoxicant syrup (100 ml each of Codiene Phosphate) were seized from him, officials said.
The accused was identified as Liaqat Ali of Mangota Thanamandi, they said, adding that a case was registered against him at the Rajouri police station.
