Metro services partially suspended in Newcastle; 'taxis' arranged

Metro trains between South Gosforth and Airport have been suspended for essential maintenance works, the administration has said also adding that Alternate bus services are being arranged to facilitate customers.

The time frame of this suspension is not yet clear.

UPDATE: Tyne and Wear Metro has just said that no replacement buses are in operation adding that the 10 Blueline taxis are operating between South Gosforth and Airport. It also said that the "taxis have been paid for."
