Bihar Assembly Speaker Awadh Bihari Chaudhary on Friday warned BJP legislators of disciplinary action if they fail to maintain decorum and etiquette in the House, describing their recent conduct as “undemocratic”. The opposition BJP on Friday created a ruckus inside the assembly and staged a walkout twice, demanding that Congress MLA Shakeel Ahmad Khan’s alleged abusive utterances during a debate on the general budget, be expunged from the proceedings. There was also commotion in the assembly over the alleged attack on migrant workers in Tamil Nadu. “Opposition MLAs have developed a habit of shouting and rushing to the well of the House on any issue which they don’t like. Despite my repeated requests, they create unruly scenes during the crucial question hour… and this has been happening since February 27, the day the ongoing budget session started... It’s not good behavior… it’s undemocratic,” Chaudhary said.

“I would like to stress here that… if they don’t follow decorum and etiquette in the House, I will be forced to initiate appropriate disciplinary action, including suspension, against the erring MLAs,” he said.
