Twitter crashes in Ron DeSantis U.S. presidential run announcement
Twitter crashed repeatedly on Wednesday during a highly anticipated live audio chat between Elon Musk, Twitter's owner, and Florida Governor Ron DeSantis, hampering the latter's plan to announce his run for the Republican presidential nomination on the social media platform.
Since Musk took over Twitter in October, he has laid off thousands of employees including many engineers who were responsible for fixing software bugs and keeping the site up during high traffic.
