Britain's opposition Labour Party suspended lawmaker Bambos Charalambous on Friday following a complaint. Charalambous, 55, who represents the London constituency of Enfield Southgate, said he was aware there was an allegation against him that required investigation by his party.

"It is right and proper that process is allowed to take place. I will cooperate fully and play my full part," Charalambous said in a tweet. He did not provide further details on the allegation. The Labour Party did not immediately have a comment.
