New Northern Ireland plan won't involve EU renegotiation - PM Sunak's spokesperson

Proposals designed to reassure Northern Ireland's largest pro-British party over the province's post-Brexit status will not require a renegotiation with the European Union, Prime Minister Rishi Sunak's spokesperson said on Tuesday.

The agreement will not reduce Britain's ability to diverge from EU regulations, the spokesman added.
