Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Thursday that a decision by election officials to bar anti-war candidate Boris Nadezhdin from an upcoming presidential election was in line with the rules because there were flaws in his paperwork.

Nadezhdin said earlier on Thursday that he would appeal to the Supreme Court after the Central Election Commission (CEC) barred him from a March election expected to be easily won by incumbent Vladimir Putin.
