Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav expressed joy after Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday released its first list of 195 candidates, including 24 candidates from Madhya Pradesh for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. Appreciating Shivraj Singh Chouhan, he said that with the announcement, there is a wave of excitement and enthusiasm in the state. "Whenever he (Shivraj Singh Chouhan) gets a chance, he wins every election with a great number..." he added further.

"We will again work to make Modi government. I feel that the BJP will win on all the Lok sabha seats in Madhya Pradesh. Candidates will be soon declared on the remaining Lok Sabha seats as well," he assured. Meanwhile, CM Mohan Yadav also paid a visit to BJP leader Shivraj Singh Chouhan at his residence.

Notably, former CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan will contest from the Vidisha constituency while Union Ministers Jyotiraditya Scindia, Virendra Khatik and Faggan Singh Kulaste will contest from Guna, Tikamgarh (SC) and Mandla (ST) constituencies respectively. Congratulating all the candidates, CM Yadav said, "I am happy that today candidature for 195 seats was announced for the Lok Sabha elections...On my behalf, I congratulate all the candidates..."

Meanwhile, on his candidature from Hoshangabad, BJP leader Darshan Singh Choudhary said, "Our party is cadre-based. Our party promotes those who work with dedication. Workers like me, who have never fought an election are allowed to contest the country's biggest election, only the BJP can do this..." Notably, the five Lok Sabha seats on which candidates are yet to be announced include Chhindwara, Balaghat, Ujjain, Indore and Dhar.

Of 195 candidates, 34 are Ministers from the Centre and States and two are the former Chief Ministers. (ANI)
