Outgoing Bihar chief secy to be chairman of state electricity commission

Bihar's outgoing Chief Secretary Amir Subhani will take over as chairman of the Bihar Electricity Regulatory Commission, an official notification said on Sunday.

The notification came a day after the state government announced that senior IAS officer Brajesh Mehrotra will assume charge as the chief secretary on March 4. Subhani, who is to attain the age of superannuation in a month, would be heading the commission ''for five years from the date of assuming charge, or till the age of 65 years, whichever is earlier'', it said.
