Chinese family planning official investigated for "serious law violations"

The vice president of a government family planning association in China's coastal Fujian province is undergoing a disciplinary review after being suspected for "serious violations of discipline and law," Fujian authorities said on Monday.

Zhang Yongyu, the 57-year old party secretary of the association is being investigated, the Fujian Provincial Commission for Discipline Inspection and Supervision said, without giving further details.
