The Congress and BJP are locked in a tight contest in Telangana, each leading in eight of the state's 17 Lok Sabha constituencies as of noon Tuesday. Both parties are fiercely competing, with BRS notably losing ground.
Trends from the vote count for the May 13 Lok Sabha polls show AIMIM president Asaduddin Owaisi maintaining a substantial lead of over 70,000 votes against his nearest BJP rival, K Madhavi Latha.
BJP candidates are ahead in constituencies such as Adilabad, Nizamabad, and Karimnagar, while Congress nominees lead in Peddapalle (SC) and Warangal (SC), among others. BRS, having won nine seats in 2019, is seeing no current leads, marking a significant setback for the party.
