Shiv Sena’s Shrirang Barne Triumphs in Maval Lok Sabha Seat
Shiv Sena candidate Shrirang Barne secured the Maval Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra, defeating Sanjog Waghere Patil of Shiv Sena (UBT) by 96,615 votes. Barne received 6,92,832 votes, while Patil garnered 5,96,217 votes. Barne, a two-term MP, shifted allegiance to Eknath Shinde in June 2022.

In a decisive victory, Shiv Sena’s Shrirang Barne has successfully retained the Maval Lok Sabha seat in Maharashtra. Barne triumphed over Sanjog Waghere Patil of the Shiv Sena (UBT) with a significant margin of 96,615 votes.
Barne, who has represented the seat for two terms, was seeking re-election for a third time. His loyalty shift to Eknath Shinde in June 2022, following Shinde’s rebellion against Uddhav Thackeray, did not deter his political standing.
Securing 6,92,832 votes, Barne left his nearest competitor, Waghere Patil, trailing with 5,96,217 votes. Other candidates Madhavi Joshi of VBA received 27,768 votes, Rajaram Patil of BSP garnered 14,003 votes, and Jyotiswar Bhosale of Baliraja Party got 10,879 votes. Interestingly, 16,760 votes were cast for the NOTA option.
