Tejashwi Yadav, leader of the Rashtriya Janata Dal, urged observers to 'wait and watch' regarding the potential inclusion of TDP and JD(U) in the opposition alliance. Amidst his journey from Patna to Delhi alongside Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Yadav dismissed speculations, stating their interaction was purely courteous.

Questioned on whether the opposition aims to gather sufficient numbers for government formation, Yadav advised patience, underscoring Bihar's emergence as a 'kingmaker' in recent elections. He expressed hope that the 'kingmaker' status would result in a special status for Bihar, a national caste census, and placing Bihar's 75 percent reservation law under the Constitution's Ninth Schedule to shield it from judicial review.

Yadav also celebrated the Samajwadi Party candidate's victory in Faizabad, asserting that the public's votes were a rebuke to Prime Minister Modi's alleged hate speech and lack of accountability. He emphasized that the electorate chose to uphold the Constitution and resist autocratic governance. Leaders from the INDIA bloc are set to convene at Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge's residence to strategize on government formation.
