In a fervent appeal, BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari has implored West Bengal Governor C V Ananda Bose to personally inspect regions tormented by post-poll violence. Adhikari, the Leader of the Opposition in West Bengal Assembly, accused Trinamool Congress (TMC) workers of attacking BJP supporters following the 2024 general election results.

Adhikari highlighted the rampant attacks on BJP karyakartas, claiming that around 10,000 individuals have been displaced and reside in safe houses organized by the BJP. He urged the governor to ensure that the violence seen after the 2021 assembly elections is not repeated.

In response, Trinamool Congress leader Santanu Sen insisted BJP respect the public mandate, stating that their conspiracy in Sandeshkhali was exposed. Despite the stationing of Central Armed Paramilitary Forces (CAPF), Adhikari argued they were not effectively used to control the situation.
