Speaking to reporters before departing to Delhi, Rajinikanth drew parallels between Modi and Jawaharlal Nehru, praising their tenures in office.

At the airport, he told the media, “Assuming office for the third consecutive term is Narendra Modi's significant accomplishment. My hearty congratulations to him.
