Prime Minister Narendra Modi was sworn in for his third consecutive term on Sunday, donning a white kurta and churidar paired with a blue chequered jacket. The ensemble was completed with black shoes, marking another memorable fashion choice for the leader.

Modi's attire for swearing-in ceremonies has varied slightly over the years. In 2014, he wore a cream linen kurta-pyjama with a beige golden jacket. For the 2019 ceremony, he chose a similar look with a beige jacket. His love for kurtas and bandhgala jackets is well noted, as is his penchant for vibrant turbans during national celebrations such as Independence Day and Republic Day. This January, he sported a multi-coloured 'bandhani' print safa for Republic Day.

Accompanying Modi at the oath-taking ceremony were senior BJP leaders Rajnath Singh, Nitin Gadkari, and Amit Shah, who took oath as cabinet ministers. Additionally, J P Nadda returned to the cabinet after five years, reflecting Modi's strategy of emphasizing continuity and experience in his administration.
