From the early days as an RSS worker in 1977 to his recent induction as a Union Minister, the 70-year-old political stalwart, Manohar Lal Khattar, has had an eventful career. After nearly two decades with the Rashtriya Swayam Sevak Sangh, Khattar entered the political arena with the BJP in 1994.

Khattar was first elected as MLA in 2014 and quickly ascended to the position of Haryana's chief minister. His tenure, spanning from 2014 to 2024, was marked by both accomplishments and controversies, including the Jat quota stir and the farmers' protests against the now-repealed farm laws. Despite the criticism, Khattar introduced significant policies like the 'Parivar Pehchan Patra' scheme and transparent recruitment processes.

In March 2024, Khattar transitioned to a national political role, paving the way for Nayab Singh Saini as Haryana's new chief minister. A confidante of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Khattar's political journey is a testament to his strategic prowess and dedicated service.
