Freedom Party's Victory in Austrian EU Elections

The far-right Freedom Party (FPO) is projected to win the European Parliament election in Austria. A trend forecast based on surveys of 3,600 people indicated the FPO leading with 27.0%, followed by the conservative People's Party (OVP) at 23.5% and the Social Democrats (SPO) at 23.0%.

The forecast, based on surveys of 3,600 people carried out in the past week for national broadcaster ORF, Puls 24 TV and APA showed the Freedom Party (FPO) in first place on 27.0% followed by the conservative People's Party (OVP) on 23.5% and the Social Democrats (SPO) on 23.0%.

The margin of error was 2.5 percentage points.
