In the aftermath of the Lok Sabha polls, Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann on Monday acknowledged his party's mixed results. The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) managed to secure three of the 13 available seats, reflecting an improvement in both seat count and vote share from 2019.
Despite the AAP's efforts, the Congress party emerged victorious, claiming seven seats and undermining not only the ruling AAP but also the opposition BJP and Shiromani Akali Dal (SAD). Two independents also secured surprise wins.
Addressing the media in Mohali, Mann attributed the AAP's comparative success to increased voter support, although he criticized the BJP for its unmet electoral promises and noted significant losses for prominent figures within the party.
