BJP's Virendra Kumar Retakes Helms of Social Justice Ministry
Veteran BJP MP Virendra Kumar takes control of the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment for his second consecutive term. Along with Ministers of State Ramdas Athawale and B L Verma, Kumar aims to tackle key social justice challenges to fulfill the vision of a developed India, Viksit Bharat.

On Tuesday, BJP veteran MP Virendra Kumar began his second term leading the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment. Post assuming office, Kumar pledged to work towards achieving a developed nation, Viksit Bharat.
Ministers of State Ramdas Athawale and B L Verma also took over their responsibilities, with Athawale embarking on his third term, while it marked Verma's first stint in the ministry.
Following their induction, the octogenarian MP Kumar outlined the future roadmap with his colleagues, emphasizing the key challenges lying ahead: addressing caste discrimination, issues regarding SC/ST and OBC scholarships, and concerns pertinent to transgender individuals and people with disabilities.
With a political career that began in 1996, Kumar has represented the Sagar constituency four times and Tikamgarh four times, remaining a prominent figure in Madhya Pradesh's political landscape.
