Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Sanjay Raut has implored anti-corruption crusader Anna Hazare to bring to light various scams plaguing the nation, specifically the electoral bonds scandal and the Maharashtra State Cooperative Bank (MSCB) scam. Raut's remarks followed reports revealing Hazare's intentions to contest the police closure report on the alleged Rs 25,000-crore MSCB scam, involving Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar and other high-profile names.

Raut emphasized that Hazare's anti-corruption movement was pivotal in the Congress' defeat during the 2014 Lok Sabha elections and played a significant role in the emergence of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). He urged Hazare to stage a protest at Ramlila Maidan to address the scandals in Maharashtra and across India.

The Rajya Sabha MP further urged Hazare to denounce the actions of central agencies, which he alleged were extorting money posted to support the BJP, while calling for protests against the closure of cases involving MLAs aligned with Chief Minister Eknath Shinde and Deputy CM Pawar after they aligned with the BJP-led 'Mahayuti' alliance.
