Maharashtra BJP chief Chandrashekhar Bawankule announced on Saturday that the state’s Mahayuti government is positive about finding a consensus solution to the reservation demands from the Maratha and OBC communities.

Earlier, activists Laxman Hake and Navnath Waghmare concluded their hunger strike after meeting with a government delegation and receiving assurances that the OBC quota will not be diluted. Bawankule emphasized that the Mahayuti government is committed to providing reservations for the Maratha community without impacting the existing OBC quota.

He further reiterated the government's efforts to avoid any potential conflict between the OBCs and Marathas while seeking a consensus-driven solution.
