YS Sharmila Questions Naidu's Silence on Special Category Status for Andhra Pradesh

YS Sharmila, the Andhra Pradesh Congress Committee president, has raised concerns over Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu's reluctance to speak out on the issue of Special Category Status (SCS) for Andhra Pradesh.

In a strongly worded statement, Sharmila insisted that Naidu, a key figure in the NDA government, owes the people an explanation for his silence on this critical matter.

Drawing comparisons with Bihar's Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who actively sought SCS for his state, Sharmila criticized Naidu for not making similar demands despite Andhra Pradesh's backwardness. She urged Naidu to pass a resolution in the state assembly to press for SCS and ensure the state's development.
