Dominican Republic Joins UN Security Council Meeting on Haiti Crisis

The Dominican Republic's Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez will travel to New York to attend a United Nations Security Council meeting about the situation in Haiti. He will also participate in a working lunch with Haitian Prime Minister Garry Conille and Foreign Minister Dominique Dupuy, who are meeting with multilateral lenders.

The Dominican Republic announced that Foreign Minister Roberto Alvarez is scheduled to travel to New York Tuesday afternoon to participate in a United Nations Security Council meeting on the situation in neighboring Haiti.

During his trip, Alvarez will also attend a working lunch together with Haitian Prime Minister Garry Conille and Foreign Minister Dominique Dupuy, who have been in the United States this week meeting with multilateral lenders.
