Gujarat BJP Gears Up for State Executive Meeting Amid Leadership Speculations

Gujarat BJP is set for a crucial two-day state executive meeting in Botad district starting July 4. The agenda includes organizational discussions and adopting a resolution to congratulate Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his third term in office. The meeting comes amid speculation over a potential change in state leadership following C R Paatil's recent induction into the Union cabinet.

Party insiders suggest a new state president could be announced at the conclave, which is expected to witness the participation of around 1,300 office-bearers. While C R Paatil, the current state president and Lok Sabha MP from Navsari, will attend, the presence of central leaders remains uncertain.

BJP General Secretary Rajni Patel confirmed the focus will also be on analyzing the results of the recent Lok Sabha polls. Despite winning 25 out of 26 seats in Gujarat, the BJP fell short of a clean sweep, prompting an in-depth review by the party.
