In the lead-up to the Haryana assembly polls, set for later this year, the state's Congress party has issued a 'charge sheet' against the BJP government. Highlighting issues such as unemployment and law and order, the Congress announced the 'Haryana Maange Hisab Abhiyan,' slated to begin on July 15.
State Congress chief Udai Bhan, alongside former Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, emphasized that the campaign aims to expose the BJP government's failures. Senior Congress leaders, including former Union minister Birender Singh and Lok Sabha MPs Deepender Singh Hooda, Varun Chaudhary, and Satpal Brahmachari, attended the press conference where the announcement was made.
Bhan pointed out multiple shortcomings during the BJP's decade-long rule, citing rising unemployment, increased crime rates, and insufficient protection for farmers. The Congress intends to incorporate public suggestions into its poll manifesto, promising effective solutions if elected. Bhan and Hooda also plan a 'Rath Yatra' in the state starting after August 20.
