Chhattisgarh minister Kedar Kashyap has taken over the Parliamentary Affairs department, a portfolio previously managed by Brijmohan Agrawal. Agrawal stepped down as an MLA and state minister following his election to the Lok Sabha.
A notification released Thursday night confirmed that Kashyap, who already oversees Forest and Climate Change, Water Resources, Skill Development, and Cooperative portfolios, will now additionally handle Parliamentary Affairs.
Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai congratulated Kashyap via a post on X. The Chhattisgarh assembly's monsoon session begins on July 22, laying to rest speculations about a possible cabinet expansion.
