The BJP is set to embark on a rural outreach initiative in Punjab, where its leaders and workers will engage with villages to address various issues, including those faced by farmers.
Punjab, a sensitive border state with unique challenges, needs a tailored approach, according to state BJP chief Sunil Jakhar, who spoke on Friday.
Jakhar highlighted the importance of dialogue for resolving ongoing issues, stressing the need for input from farmers, agricultural scientists, and economists to reach a consensus.
At a media briefing following a state BJP executive committee meeting, Jakhar noted a false narrative has been created against the BJP, which he aims to dispel through comprehensive dialogue.
BJP's commitment to serving all sections of society, particularly farmers, was reaffirmed by Jakhar. Union Ministers Bhupender Yadav, Ravneet Singh Bittu, and BJP National General Secretary Tarun Chugh also attended the meeting.
A resolution praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi for his third consecutive term was also passed during the meeting.
Jakhar criticized the Aam Aadmi Party government for not addressing the drug crisis and worsening law and order issues, which the party had promised to improve.
He urged the state government to address the increasing violence, drug-related problems, and support for radical elements destabilizing Punjab.
