DMK candidate Anniyur Siva is set for a resounding victory in the Vikravandi assembly by-election in Tamil Nadu. Chief Minister MK Stalin emphasized that Tamil Nadu's voters see DMK as a party fostering development.
Stalin highlighted that the Opposition INDIA alliance is leading in 11 out of the 13 assembly constituencies in the by-elections across the country. He criticized the BJP, stating that the party cannot govern without respecting state sentiments. "The INDIA Alliance has taken the lead in 11 out of 13 by-elections. The BJP has lost. They only hold power due to alliances," said Stalin.
Expressing gratitude to Vikravandi voters, Stalin noted that DMK's Anniyur Siva is ahead by 58,785 votes. He mentioned their recent sweeping victory in the Lok Sabha polls, defeating both AIADMK and BJP. "AIADMK withdrew knowing they would lose; similarly, BJP backed PMK in the by-election to avoid a direct defeat," he remarked.
Stalin criticized the BJP-led alliance for spreading hate and fake news against DMK. He asserted that voters rejected those spreading falsehoods and have chosen DMK as the party for their and the state's development.
