Donald Trump will receive the Republican Party's official 2024 nomination for president at the National Convention in Milwaukee. This event follows an assassination attempt on Trump during a Pennsylvania rally. The convention, featuring prominent Republican speeches, will address key issues like abortion, immigration, and the economy.

Donald Trump will officially receive his party's 2024 nomination for president at the Republican National Convention held in Milwaukee, beginning Monday. The four-day event arrives days after Trump survived an assassination attempt during a Pennsylvania campaign rally.

During the rally, a bullet grazed Trump's ear as he began to speak, with the suspect identified as Thomas Matthew Crooks, 20. The attacker was killed by law enforcement, who are investigating the motive. The attempt has enraged Trump supporters and may overshadow the convention amid fears of political violence leading up to Trump's November 5th rematch with President Joe Biden.

The convention will feature televised speeches from rising Republican stars and Trump's yet-to-be-announced vice presidential running mate while highlighting the party’s stance on abortion, immigration, and the economy. Significant moments include Trump’s formal acceptance speech on Thursday.
