Former UN Ambassador Nikki Haley will take the stage at the Republican National Convention on Tuesday, delivering a highly anticipated speech. This decision follows a recent assassination attempt on former President Donald Trump during a rally in Butler, Pennsylvania, where a gunman pierced his right ear.

Haley, a two-term South Carolina governor, was added to the schedule despite not being initially listed among the speakers. According to her spokesperson Chaney Denton, Haley had urged her delegates to support Trump and called for party unity, despite previously accusing him of causing chaos and undermining US alliances.

Although Trump had mockingly nicknamed her “Birdbrain,” his criticism waned after securing his position as the presumptive nominee. Their complex relationship adds a significant layer of intrigue to Haley's upcoming address.
