Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal's health condition during his imprisonment has sparked a political clash between the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). AAP leaders, including senior minister Atishi, claim that Kejriwal's health is deteriorating, with significant weight loss and dangerously low blood sugar levels. Atishi alleged on Monday that the BJP's actions could cause permanent damage to Kejriwal's health.

However, Tihar jail authorities refuted these claims, stating that Kejriwal's health is being regularly monitored by a medical board from AIIMS and that he has only lost 2 kg. The prison administration accused AAP of spreading false and misleading information to create public confusion and pressure. They confirmed that Kejriwal is receiving adequate medical care and has been consuming home-cooked food.

The political dispute continues to escalate, with BJP accusing AAP of using Kejriwal's health issues to seek bail ahead of court hearings. Conversely, AAP leaders like Sanjay Singh insist that BJP is playing with Kejriwal's life by leaking medical reports and endangering his health. Kejriwal was arrested on March 21 in a money laundering case linked to the Delhi government's excise policy and remains in judicial custody.
