Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao, the working president of Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS), has penned a letter to Speaker Gaddam Prasad of the Telangana Legislative Assembly, highlighting ongoing protocol violations and the systematic undermining of the rights of BRS MLAs since the Congress government assumed power.
Rao expressed deep concern over what he described as a 'troubling culture' where the rights of opposition BRS MLAs are being deliberately trampled. He accused the Congress government of habitual protocol violations and unconstitutional behavior, which he claims is detrimental to democratic principles.
KTR cited specific instances of protocol violations, such as the distribution of welfare scheme checks and the conduct of development activities without the presence of elected MLAs, particularly in constituencies like Huzurabad, Maheshwaram, and Asifabad. Rao called for immediate orders to ensure BRS MLAs' protocol is respected, warning issues would be raised in upcoming assembly meetings if not addressed.
