Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday expressed his profound sadness over the death of four Indian Army soldiers during an anti-terrorism operation in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district. He affirmed the security forces' unwavering commitment to eradicating terrorism in the region.
Soon after receiving a briefing from Chief of Army Staff Gen Upendra Dwivedi about the ongoing operation, Singh conveyed his condolences.
Among the fallen soldiers were an officer and three other personnel, all of whom were involved in action against a heavily-armed terrorist group. Singh conveyed his heartfelt sympathies to the families of the soldiers, reaffirming the nation's steadfast support for them.
He reiterated that counter-terrorism efforts are continuing and underlined the resolve of the soldiers to restore peace and order in the region.
