Rajya Sabha member Sunetra Pawar's visit to Modibaug in Pune on Tuesday has sparked political speculations. Modibaug is notable as the residence of NCP founder Sharad Pawar. While NCP functionary Suraj Chavan clarified that Sunetra went to meet Deputy CM Ajit Pawar's sister, the timing of the visit has intensified speculation.

This visit comes on the heels of senior NCP leader Chhagan Bhujbal's meeting with Sharad Pawar, adding to the political buzz. Bhujbal endorsed the visit, stating that Sharad Pawar is a respected senior member of the Pawar family and suggesting that the meeting was a positive move.

Maharashtra industries minister Uday Samant commented on the situation, stating that any details about the meeting would have to come from Sunetra Pawar herself. He reassured that all is well within the ruling Mahayuti alliance, noting the significant role Sharad Pawar has played in past political matters such as OBC reservations. Samant also highlighted the need for Pawar’s intervention given the current tensions between Marathas and OBCs in the state.
