Shiv Sena (UBT) leader Aaditya Thackeray criticized the Maharashtra government's 'Ladla Bhai Yojana' for boys, calling it a 'jumla' and demanding the entire annual stipend be disbursed in one go. The scheme provides stipends based on qualifications, offering Rs 6,000 to 12th graders, Rs 8,000 to diploma holders, and Rs 10,000 to graduates.
'The government should give the entire amount for the year. People do not trust the government. This is a 'jumla',' Thackeray told reporters. He noted that only skill development students would benefit from the scheme. Reports suggest substantial stipends under the Ladla Bhai Yojana, tailored to the educational qualifications of boys.
When asked about Tuesday's terror attack in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district that claimed four Indian Army soldiers' lives, Thackeray remarked, 'This is the 6th or 7th attack in recent months. After demonetization, terrorism was supposed to end, did it happen? We now have strong leadership for 10 years, has terrorism finished?' Maharashtra assembly polls are slated for later this year.
