Stormy Proceedings Expected in Jharkhand Assembly Monsoon Session

The monsoon session of the Jharkhand Assembly is set to take place from July 26 to August 2, according to an official announcement made on Friday.

Governor CP Radhakrishnan has sanctioned the week-long session, which will consist of six working days.

'Governor CP Radhakrishnan has given his nod to convene the monsoon session of the Jharkhand Assembly from July 26 to August 2,' the official confirmed.

The session is anticipated to be stormy, with the opposition BJP aiming to challenge the ruling JMM-led alliance on issues such as corruption, deteriorating law and order, and infiltration. This will be the last session of the fifth Jharkhand Assembly.

Meanwhile, the ruling alliance will strive to use the session to highlight the government's achievements in preparation for the forthcoming Assembly elections later this year.

The previous elections for the 81-member Jharkhand Assembly were held in November-December 2019.
