External Affairs Minister S. Jaishankar on Friday engaged in a phone conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart, Dmytro Kuleba. This interaction occurred less than two weeks after Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Moscow.
Jaishankar highlighted the focus of the conversation on further developing bilateral relations between India and Ukraine.
The call came amidst criticism from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy regarding Modi's visit to Moscow on July 8 and 9. Zelenskyy had described the meeting as a significant disappointment and a setback to peace efforts, citing Russian missile attacks on Ukraine and a specific strike on a children's hospital in Kyiv.
