Former US President Donald Trump disclosed that Chinese President Xi Jinping sent him a heartfelt letter following an assassination attempt that left Trump with a gunshot wound to his ear. Trump's revelation came during an election rally in Grand Rapids, Michigan, a week after the incident.
During the rally, Trump, 78, shared that he received similar messages from other world leaders, emphasizing his strong ties with many of them. 'I got along very well with President Xi,' Trump noted. 'He wrote me a beautiful note the other day when he heard about what happened.'
Trump reflected on his relationships with international leaders, including North Korean Leader Kim Jong Un, and reiterated his commitment to tough policies on China. He also expressed plans to boost American industries and revoke China's most-favored-nation trade status if he returns to office.
