Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini on Sunday criticized the Congress' ongoing ''Haryana Maange Hisab'' campaign, labeling it as 'Jhooth Ki Yatra,' and accusing the opposition of spreading lies.
Saini said the Congress owes an account of its ten-year rule (2005-2014) which he claimed was rife with corruption and nepotism.
Addressing reporters in Sirsa, Saini responded to the arrest of Congress MLA Surender Panwar in an illegal mining-linked money-laundering case by the Enforcement Directorate, asserting that the ED is an independent agency doing its job.
Responding to Congress' criticisms under its ''Haryana Maange Hisab'' campaign led by Deepender Singh Hooda, Saini said, ''Deepender should first account for the tenure of his father (Bhupinder Hooda). This is a 'Jhooth Ki Yatra' and they only spread lies,'' Saini remarked.
The Congress should discuss their 10-year rule, during which jobs were allegedly on sale, power supply was minimal, and the system had crumbled, Saini stated.
In contrast, he highlighted the equitable development achieved under the BJP's ten-year tenure. The Congress campaign had launched on July 15th, targeting the BJP on issues like unemployment, law and order, and farmers' woes.
Rohtak MP Deepender Hooda, in Hisar on Saturday, claimed the BJP misgovernance has derailed Haryana's development and prosperity over the past decade.
