The political temperature in Andhra Pradesh has reached a boiling point as leaders from the ruling TDP and opposition YSRCP clashed over the state's special category status ahead of Parliament's Budget session. The session, commencing on Monday, will consist of 19 sittings until August 12.

Following an all-party meeting led by the BJP at the Centre, YSRCP accused TDP of neglecting the special category status issue and compromising state interests. The TDP retaliated by pointing to the financial mismanagement during Jagan Mohan Reddy's prior administration and announced plans to release a white paper on the state's finances.

Congress leader Jairam Ramesh criticized TDP for its silence, despite allies JD(U) and YSRCP demanding special status for Bihar and Andhra Pradesh. YSRCP's floor leader Vijaisai Reddy raised multiple issues, including President's Rule due to law and order concerns, while TDP MP Lavu Sri Krishna Devarayalu emphasized financial transparency and the importance of various state issues.
